Amazon, Remote - Senior User Experience Designer

As a senior UX designer on the Shopping team, I am responsible for owning and executing the end-to-end research and design of various experiences for login, authentication, security, checkout and the address book (selecting a shipping and billing address for your purchase) for Amazon.com and the Amazon mobile app.
Some key projects include:

Designing and testing various touchpoints through the customer’s shopping journey to enable security settings that will protect their account.

Designing new login experiences for customers with multiple accounts.

Working with identity and info security teams to design reusable login patterns for all Amazon products.

Redesigning the shipping address selection page during purchase checkout.

Leading the strategy and development of a Purchase Experience Framework for the Shopping team from customer authentication, through the checkout journey. Wrote and published an internal wiki with design guidelines, best practices, and design examples for each pattern and edge case.

Lead user experience design for the Selling Partner Trust and Loyalty team, responsible for Account Health and Appeals in Amazon Seller Central.
BigCommerce, Remote - Lead Product Designer

As the lead designer for the North American team, I was responsible for:

Working directly with our product leadership team to discover, plan and communicate the strategic direction of the platform.

Conducting initial discovery research and cross functional team coordination to align the roadmaps.

Managing design resources across projects, ensure coverage on the highest priorities and planning headcount for upcoming work.

Mentoring the design team on best practices, design and research methods, and critical design thinking.

Ensuring the design team is executing on our strategic initiatives and maintains the highest level of quality on all deliverables.
As the lead designer across Developer Experience, I conducted several research projects to understand and map the end-to-end 3rd party developer experience in order to build empathy, identify areas of improvement and align multiple cross-functional teams on a new strategic vision. Created new developer toolkits to improve the speed and efficiency of building integrations with BigCommerce including full sample app designs and developer guides for multiple integration use cases.
Designed a new unified partner portal which consolidated multiple ecosystems and provided technical development partners with a seamless, single sign-on system for creating and maintaining their apps and integrations.
Managed our internal and external facing design system and associated tools by enabling the design and development teams with a consistent process for creating, reviewing, documenting, and publishing new components.
Hireology, Remote - Senior User Experience Designer
August 2018 - October 2020
Worked as the lead designer for Hireology's applicant sourcing and management tools:

Working with the product and engineering teams to define and conceptualize new sourcing tools and product features.

Craft and execute on research plans across projects.

Scope and estimate UX/UI design and assign tasks to the other designers.

Review and approve all team designs for consistency and quality.
Developed an in-app training solution in partnership with stakeholders from Product, Customer Service, Implementation and Marketing. Lead design on the internal tools team to build backend support tools for Hireologists including, account creation, Salesforce subscription automation, emails campaign automation, admin interface improvements and industry specific job boards.
Sabre, Dallas , TX - Senior User Experience Designer
May 2016 - August 2018
Worked as the lead designer for Sabre's developer platform which houses all of Sabre's travel booking APIs across airline, hospitality and travel network solutions.
Lead the effort to concept, design, prototype and test a new open-source platform for Sabre APIs. Worked across product teams to align on the vision and process for exposing Sabre APIs to customers, including documentation standards, resources offered, information architecture and visual design of the platform and marketing strategy for sales enablement.
Planned and conducted user research and customer workshops to inform the platform design, including several customer workshops at Sabre's Destination Hackathon and Travel Technology Exchange in Las Vegas.
